Avance is a participant in Taimiteko, a carbon offsetting initiative by 4H Finland. Taimiteko also provides summer jobs in planting seedlings, especially for young people under the age of 18.
Taimiteko increases the carbon sinks of Finnish forests by planting tree seedlings in areas that have not been in active forestry, agriculture or peat production for years or even decades. Taimiteko aims to plant 10,000 hectares of new forest in Finland by 2030.
We make a yearly calculation to estimate our emissions, based on which we make a donation to Taimiteko. The estimate also enables us to better understand our carbon footprint and to make concrete actions in this respect.
